Live Effects have provided equipment and solutions across a broad spectrum of clientele, ranging from private sector individuals through to large corporates. A selection of recent projects is listed below.

The 80s Strike Back!
This new musical premiered at The Castle theatre in Wellingborough and Live Effects were selected to provide the special effects. Pyrotechnics included jets across the front of the stage and coming down from the rig. Flashes across the back of the stage, a jet mounted on the end of a guitar with a specially manufactured controller and numerous confetti and glitter airbursts. We also provided, smoke, haze and low smoke effects.

Open Mic Final Portsmouth
Live Effects provided a large opening and closing display for the finals of this national competition. Effects included a large chase of airbursts, 20’ mines, concussions and jets. The finale also included streamer cannons firing red, white and blue streamers over the audience.

Open Mic Final Manchester
This unusual venue required special care as there was only 10’ of ceiling clearance. We used Co2 jets across the front of the stage and flashes and angled jets on stage. The finale featured 4 large streamer cannons across the audience.

Scott Mills The Musical - BBC Radio 1
Live Effects provided finale pyrotechnics for ‘Scott Mills The Musical’ at the Edinburgh Festival. This required a rig that could be easily set before each show and removed after as there were many other shows in the venue. We used confetti airbursts, jets and flashes to give a great end to each performance.

NEFF Master Partner Awards 2009
Live Effects provided a pyrotechnic finale to the event followed by a huge burst of confetti over the 400 guests. Pyrotechnics included 20 red & white mines, 24 x 1/4-second gerbs and 4 metallic streamer cartridges. We also rigged CO2 confetti cannons above the audience to fire the confetti.

McFly Video
Live Effects were asked to provide flame and smoke effects for McFly’s new music video. We used propane flames effects for their repeatability and huge 8m effects. We also used gas powered smoke generators to create a thick white smoke on cue and other pyrotechnic effects including jets and robotics.

Skins Secret Party
Live Effects provided pyrotechnics, bubbles and confetti for the Skins Secret Party. We fired 4 hits of jets horizontally 40ft above the audience to create a sky of sparks over their heads. We also rigged 20 confetti cannons throughout the venue to create a huge cascade of white flutter fetti. We also hung bubble machines at the very top of the venue so bubbles slowly cascaded down onto the crowd.
